About.

What is the Mediterranean Maudsley Forum (MMF)?
Since 2007, the Institute of Psychiatry of King's College London has regularly exported its worldwide reputation for psychiatric research and clinical care to the centre of the Mediterranean. Thus, in this tradition of new learning and experiences, the 10th MMF will continue to provide an update on social, psychological and biological aspects of psychiatric disorders, reviewing both advances in understanding the disorders and exciting new treatment methods.

The 10th MMF will occur in Palermo from the 26th to the 29th of May 2025. The Programme is now available.

We have now reached full capacity and therefore the registration are closed. If you are really keen to attend consider the online option or email [email protected] for enquiry

You can join us on live streaming from everywhere in the world and:
1) Listen to the lectures while admiring the magnificent venues that host the event
2) Participate in the interactive Q&A sessions
3) Listen to all the sessions at your convenience if your time zone or work schedule does not allow you to join live

The 10th MMF is organised by Professors Sir Robin Murray, Marta Di Forti, and Diego Quattrone from the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London;  Professor Daniele La Barbera, Head of the Department of Psychiatry, and Professor Erika La Cascia from the University of Palermo; Professor Anton Grech, Director of Mental Health Services at the University of Malta; and Professor Giovanni Martinotti, Director of the Psychiatry Inpatient Unit at the University of Chieti-Pescara.

What does the Forum cover?
The speakers are clinical psychiatrists and psychologists who are well-known international experts. They will present the most recent advances in Hot Topics in Psychotic and Mood Disorders, Addiction, Pharmacological and Psychological Treatment Interventions, Eating Disorders, Genetics and Epigenetics in Psychiatry, Neuroimaging and Neurocognition, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Who is the Forum for?
The course is intended for psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, other mental health professionals, neuroscientists, and students who want to know about the latest developments in psychiatry.  We expect about 100 participants from Europe and further afield. So, there is plenty of opportunity to interact with the speakers and other participants. Both new knowledge and lots of fun!
The course is entirely in English.

Location
The 10th MMF will open on Monday, the 26th of May, in the Palermo Royal Palace, also known as the Palazzo dei Normanni, home to the Sicilian parliament (view on Google Maps).

Starting on Tuesday, the 27th of May, the second day, the Forum will continue at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Sicily (view on Google Maps).
